Codru is located in the central zone of Moldova and encompasses the main massive of the country’s vineyards. Wine has been always regarded as ‘holding a proper place between the wise people and nature’ (Mihail Sadoveanu), as based on the principles that have been developed and preserved from generation to generation, from father to so.
This region distinguishes itself by the love and traditions of local inhabitants when it comes to wine and wine culture. The sunny hillsides, exceptional sun exposure and South-Western position determine the softness of the white, red and sparkling wines produced here.
The soils are absolutely favorable for wine growing and are characterized as clayey and loamy, are rich in humus and base exchange, while the moderately continental climate with enough number of sunny days from May to September contributes to grapes growing and sugar concentration.
The vineyards are processed according to the latest technologies, thus increasing the interventions during the green pruning, hence, the wine retains all the characteristics of the soil and the energy of the sun. The wine area expands annually and covers the hill descending gradually into the valleys.
The advantageous physical and geographical position, relief, climate and traditions of those, who work in the vineyards, have an uncontestable impact on the wine and wine quality, which may be called the Terroir as a whole.

Bacio di Bolle sparkling wines are a harmonious combination of Moldovan land’s properties and professionalism of our team of vine-growers and winemakers.
The wine quality is our Company’s signature line, so, we are striving for preserving this reputation through innovations and wine class. The quality management system and food safety management system is another proof thereof.
We were pioneers in Moldova in producing the first autochthonous sparkling wine with food-grade gold – Bacio di Bolle Grand Cuvee Gold (23 carats), a real winemaking award.

Technology
We combine the millenary traditions and promotion of the up-to-the-minute systems. Our Company has attracted recently the significant investments from the leading Italian, German and Swedish companies. So, these investments increased the production capacities of our bottling plant and renovated cooling plants, tartrates, grape must centrifuging, wax storage and so on.
Our professionals work in the winery laboratories and in the vineyards, in order to obtain the final products of the highest quality.
